The ICF's main focus is on contributing to the growth of the Catalan economy, generating value for society at large. Parallel to this commitment, and beyond its relationship with its clients, the institute fosters and participates in various initiatives in the sphere of social responsibility.
We highlight our contribution and participation, as a founding member, in the Catalonia Culture Foundation (Fundació Catalunya Cultura). The goal of the Foundation, set up together with various companies and public and private entities, is to boost cooperation between enterprises and the culture sector in its broadest sense, regaining its social role and attaining prestige through patronage.
In the sphere of education, ICF is actively involved in the Programa d'Educació Financera a les Escoles de Catalunya (EFEC) (Financial Education Programme for Catalan Schools), spearheaded by the Catalonia Regional Government in partnership with the Institut d'Estudis Financers (IEF) (Institute for Financial Studies). This volunteer-based programme provides education on finance to teenagers and adults through schools, giving them the tools to properly manage savings or debt and helping avoid episodes of financial exclusion such as those experienced in the last few years as a result of the economic situation.
ICF has also signed agreements with Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Universitat de Barcelona and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya so that their students can obtain work experience at the institute and apply and round off the skills they have learned at university. The aim is to nurture the acquisition of skills that will prepare them for a career and make it easier for them to get a job.
Each year, ICF collaborates with several initiatives implemented by non-profit organizations. In particular, it works on projects with Arrels Fundació, Fundació Banc dels Aliments, Obra Social de l'Hospital Sant Joan de Déu and Amics de la Gent Gran.
