The loans will be for financing the construction of 1,000 new housings. The housings will have an average of 70 m2 and a price for rent maximum of 450 euros monthly. The loans will have a fixed interest rate about which a partial allowance will be applied on the part of the Agència de l'Habitatge de Catalunya.
The Institut Català de Finances (ICF) and the Agència de l'Habitatge de Catalunya have activated a line of loans with preferential conditions to promote and to financing the construction of housings for social rent.
The addressees of this line of loans, endowed with 90 million euros, are promoters with operating headquarters in Catalonia. This agreement is set in the Plan for the right to the housing, and will benefit the promoters who construct in one of the 152 towns with strong demand proved, according to the Sectorial Territorial Plan of Housing(page 69).

In accordance with the order of helps that have been published in the DOGC, the ICF will bring the resources, analyze and manage the loans and the AHC will issue a report of eligibility. The loans will have a fixed interest rate about which a partial allowance will be applied, which will go in charge of the Agència de l'Habitatge de Catalunya.
The deadline of amortization of these loans will be of a maximum of 25 years, with possibility of a period of lack of amortization of capital of until 2 years. The amount of each loan will not be able to exceed the 100.000€ for housing.
The agreement wants to favor that the promoters have a line of financing for the construction of housing for rent at affordable price, a fact that the last years had remained practically stopped.
