The fund Capital Expansió invests 2.4 million euros in Cricursa


The Catalan company, with headquarters in Granollers, is specialized in the production of curved glass for great architectural projects and counts on 250 annual projects, 90% of which abroad.The investment will allow the introduction of the manufacture of flat glass and the growth of their productive capacity of curved glass with the objective of offering their customers integral projects.

The fund Capital Expansió of the Institut Català de Finances (ICF) has invested 2.4 million euros in the Catalan company Cricursa specialized in the curvature of glass for architectural projects of high technical and aesthetic complexity. The fund made the investment through own resources with the objective of multiplying for three the productive capacity of the company with the purpose of offering integral projects to their customers.

With this investment, the company will invest in new centers of production in Catalonia, fact that will allow them to start to offer flat glass of great dimensions and to increase the productive capacity of the curved glass.

Cricursa, with headquarters in Granollers, started its activity in 1928 in Barcelona and is at present led by Ferran Figuerola and Alex Sasplugas, members of the third family generation. The company has an approximate turnover of 25 million euros and is one of the few companies in the world able capable of making complex geometric glasses of great dimensions.

The company works with international architecture studies and develops more than 250 annual projects, 90% of which abroad. Some of the projects more emblematic in which Cricursa has participated are the Fira of Barcelona, the Kursaal of San Sebastián, the auditorium of the Ciutat de les Arts I les Ciències of Valencia, the Tour Eiffel and the Charles de Gaulle Airport  of Paris, the Atomium of Brussels, the Qatar National Library, the Prada of Tokyo and the Bombay Sapphire Distillery of United Kingdom.
