The Catalonia Regional Government has appointed Carmina Ganyet as a new member of the ICF's most senior governing body, the Board of Governance.
Carmina Ganyet i Cirera (Tàrrega, 1968) is Chief Executive Officer of real estate company Colonial and a member of the Board of Directors of Société Foncière Lyonnaise. She graduated in Economics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and completed various post-graduate courses at ESADE before starting her career in the financial sector at Caixa de Catalunya. In 1991 she joined Arthur Andersen, where she specialized in the financial sector. In 1995, she joined the La Caixa Group as Head of Management Control and Investment Analysis, where she played a part in Colonial's IPO in 1999. She was appointed Chief Financial Officer at Colonial in 2000, and she became Chief Executive Officer in 2009. She has combined her career in business with teaching as professor of financial studies at Universitat Ramon Llull. Ms. Ganyet joins the Board as an independent director, replacing Antoni Castellà.
