The Catalan Institute of Finance signs a financing operation with SociHabitat, Casa Alternativa and Fundació Resilis, through its ICF Social Housing Acquisition loan line, to buy a lot of homes and allocate them to social rental for people and families at risk of social exclusion.
The ICF has financed the acquisition of 80 homes in the town of Deltebre that will be used for accessible rental for people and families at risk of social exclusion and that will be managed by three entities in the territory: SociHabitat, Casa Alternativa and Fundació Resilis. The purchase has been made by retraction, through the ICF Social Housing Acquisition line and will allow these entities to develop housing programs in a continuous and stable way over time, with a lower cost than a habitual rent, and offer the different groups served decent accommodation, at a price that they can assume, thus contributing to the consolidation of their life projects. This operation has also had a discount on the financial cost by the Housing Agency of Catalonia.
It is within this framework that it is necessary to value this initiative that not only represents improving the lives of the beneficiaries, but also entails an economic and social boost for the town and for the community, becoming an example of the transformative power of cooperation between the public sector and social organizations.
The investment not only creates and consolidates housing, but also fosters a sense of belonging and community essential for long-term growth and prosperity and also means the expansion and consolidation of the public housing stock in Deltebre.
