In an exercise of accountability and transparency, the Institut Català de Finances (ICF) annually publishes a document detailing the activity carried out by the entity in the last year at all levels.

The report also describes the mission, values and strategic lines that guide the work of the team of professionals that makes it possible for us to respond every day to the financing needs of Catalan companies, start-ups, SMEs and social and cultural entities.

Here is a summary of the ICF's 2023 Annual Report, which can be consulted at this link:

• We are the public promotion bank of the Generalitat de Catalunya and "we exist so that no viable project is left undone due to lack of long-term financing", as our CEO, Vanessa Servera i Planas, writes in her letter.
  
  
• We increased our activity by 17% compared to 2022, providing financing to a total of 1,657 companies, of which 98% were entrepreneurs and SMEs.
  
  
• We are a tool at the service of Catalonia's strategic objectives and, for this reason, our priorities were the promotion of the primary sector, sustainability, social housing, industry and venture capital.
  
  
• In a year marked by inflation and the worst drought since records began, we allocated €77 million to finance 1,236 Catalan farmers and ranchers through the ICF Agroliquiditat line.
  
  
• One out of every two euros granted in the form of loans and guarantees was allocated to projects with environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria.
  
  
• We contributed to increasing the stock of social housing in Catalonia with €45.6 million, filling a funding gap that is currently not covered by private financial institutions.
• We have increased our network of sales delegations, and we have already announced that from this summer we will open offices throughout Catalonia for the first time.
