API real estate agents in Catalonia and ICF join forces to bring public housing programmes to the whole territory

The agreement, with an initial term of four years, renewable for four more years, will help publicise ICF's housing financing lines through Catalonia's leading real estate agents network. This is the first agreement ICF has signed with the real estate sector. The collaboration will include information sessions, seminars and specific training for real estate professionals.

Signing of the agreement between Montserrat Junyent, vice-president of the Council of Official Colleges of Real Estate Agents of Catalonia, and Vanessa Servera, CEO of ICF.

The Council of Official Colleges of Real Estate Agents of Catalonia and the Institut Català de Finances (ICF) have signed a collaboration agreement to expand the reach of public housing financing programmes. The alliance will allow this information to reach API professionals, their clients and the public through the real estate network with the widest territorial coverage in Catalonia. This is the first agreement ICF has signed with the real estate sector.

The agreement provides for the joint development of communication actions, information sessions, seminars and training days so that real estate agents gain a rigorous and up-to-date understanding of ICF's various housing financing lines. The public entity will provide the necessary materials, take part in training activities and address technical or financial queries raised by API professionals.

"Real estate agents are often the first point of contact for people looking for a home. This agreement will allow us to offer them useful, reliable information about the public resources available, regardless of which municipality they live in," said Montserrat Junyent, vice-president of the Council of Official Colleges of Real Estate Agents of Catalonia. "Our territorial network can act as a highly valuable bridge between housing policies, professionals and the public," she added.

ICF's CEO, Vanessa Servera, said that "this new agreement will help strengthen our work to promote affordable housing in Catalonia in collaboration with real estate agents. With this agreement, real estate agents will have the information and resources to explain products such as Préstecs Emancipació for young people buying their first home, a loan that can be key to making that purchase possible."

Since 2018, social housing has been one of the pillars of ICF's activity. To date, the entity has allocated €689 million to financing the development, construction and purchase of subsidised housing, making possible 7,326 social and affordable rental homes in Catalonia. In addition, Préstecs Emancipació, launched in 2025, has already enabled the purchase of 1,827 homes and allowed 2,706 young people to access their first home ownership.

The collaboration will be strictly informative, awareness-raising and educational in nature. API colleges will not act as financial intermediaries, process loan applications or collect applicants' personal or financial data. People wishing to access the programmes will be referred directly to ICF's official channels, through its website, its digital banking service or its telephone helpline. The agreement will have an initial term of four years, renewable for four more years.
