Cristina Alba, Gloria Ausió, Albert Rosés and Ricard Tubau join the highest decision-making body of the Government of Catalonia’s public development bank

Seu de l'ICF

The Institut Català de Finances (ICF) has renewed four independent members of its Supervisory Board. The former CEO of Pronovias, Cristina Alba; the Human Resources Director of Ricoh Spain and Portugal, Gloria Ausió; the independent director of Andbank and Estabanell, Albert Rosés; and the former CEO of Andbank, Ricard Tubau, have been appointed by the Government of Catalonia as new independent members of the highest decision-making body of the public development bank.

Their appointment coincides with the end of the terms of Joan B. Casas, José Luis Peydró, Xavier Puig and Pilar Soldevila, whom the institution thanks for their dedication, commitment and decisive contribution to consolidating the ICF as a key instrument for supporting Catalonia’s business and social fabric.

The ICF thus maintains a majority of independent members on its highest decision-making body, as required by the Spanish and European credit institution regulations. The majority of independent members guarantees the ICF’s “organisational, financial, asset, functional and management autonomy”, and the ICF acts “with full independence from public administrations”, in accordance with the ICF Act. The ICF’s Supervisory Board is equivalent to the board of directors of a financial institution incorporated as a capital company.

The appointment of the four members, carried out in line with internal procedures to ensure the candidates’ independence, was approved following a prior favourable report from the Supervisory Board’s Appointments and Remuneration Committee on their suitability, knowledge and experience.

As a result, the ICF’s Supervisory Board, chaired by Juli Fernández Iruela, Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Government of Catalonia, continues to comprise a total of eleven members, with a majority of six independent members and with Vanessa Servera i Planas as CEO.

Cristina Alba, Gloria Ausió, Albert Rosés and Ricard Tubau join independent members Pere Cots and Carme Hortalà. The proprietary members, who represent the Government of Catalonia, are, in addition to Fernández Iruela, Eva Giménez Corrons, Secretary General of the Ministry of the Presidency; Francesc Trillas Jané, Secretary for Economic Affairs and European Funds; and Jaume Baró Torres, Secretary for Business and Competitiveness.
