Capital MAB, under the management of ICF Capital – the venture capital fund management company of the Institut Català de Finances (ICF) -, has invested 1 million euros in the Catalan Technology SME, Agile Content, specialised in solutions for managing audiovisual and audience Big Data contents.

Capital MAB has made this investment as part of the capital increase performed by Agile Content for a global sum of 5.3 million euros. This increase has enabled some twenty new qualified investors to take a stake in the company with a long-term investment outlook.

Agile will allocate these resources to consolidating and driving its growth and internationalisation and also to its acquisitions scheme launched this year. The Catalan SME plans to conclude the acquisition of the Finnish company Enreach, continue with its acquisitions scheme and increase its presence in northern Europe and theUnited States. Agile plans to float on the Alternative Equity Market (MAB) during the fourth quarter of this year.

Agile Content, founded by two entrepreneurs inBarcelonain 2007, currently has a team of 50 professionals and operates in 12 countries in Europe, Latin America and theUnited States. In 2014 its turnover was 8 million euros, 45% up over2013. Inaddition to the founding partners, the venture capital companies Inveready, Fides Capital and other minority shareholders also hold an interest.

The company works for media groups, telecommunications operators and leading brands and advertisers offering technological solutions for innovating and capitalising on their business models in a digital environment, as a result of greater knowledge and segmentation of their audiences and content offering, advertising and customised services. Agile’s clients include RTVE, Grupo Estado, Grupo RBS, Editorial Prensa Ibérica, Claro, Telefónica, El Universal or Grup Zeta, amongst others.
