The “ICF Esports Liquiditat” credit line is now activated. The Catalan Sports Council (CCE) has today opened the public call for grants in the form of guarantees for loan operations, through the Catalan Institute of Finance (ICF), aimed at financing liquidity needs deriving from COVID-19. The total amount of the credit line for Catalan sports entities is 10 million euros. The period for applying for the loans starts tomorrow Friday and will end on 23 September.
Barcelona, 23 July 2020 -. The loans are intended for sports entities, registered in the Registre d’Entitats Esportives of the CCE and with their registered offices or operational headquarters in Catalonia, that have been affected by the situation arising from COVID-19. The line of credit that is made available to the sports sector, known as "ICF Esports Liquiditat", will allow entities to apply for loans of between 20,000 euros and 300,000 euros. The repayment period will be up to 5 years including a 1-year grace period.
The aid provided for in this call is governed by the rules approved by Resolution PRE/1647/2020, of 8 July. The term for submitting applications is two months from tomorrow until 23 September, once the call has been published today in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Nevertheless, requests presenting the correct documentation will be resolved in order of entry until the maximum amount of funding has been exhausted.
Applications must be submitted electronically using the form available to interested entities on the ICF website (www.icf.cat) in the terms provided for in regulatory condition 7 of the annex to Resolution PRE/1647/2020, of 8 July.
The maximum period for resolving and notifying the decision to conclude the procedure, by means of its publication, is three months from the entry of the application in the register of the competent body for its processing.
The final resolution of the procedure corresponds to the Catalan Sports Council and the entities concerned will be notified through the publication of the resolution on the electronic notice board of the Administration of the Generalitat de Catalunya, accessible from the electronic headquarters (tauler.gencat.cat). The deadline for granting aid and formalising loans is 31 December 2020.
These 10 million euros are included in a package of 61.5 million euros that the General Secretariat of Sport and Physical Activity, through the National Pact for the Reactivation of Physical Activity and Sport in Catalonia, will inject during 2020 throughout the sports sector in Catalonia in the form of subsidies, programmes and lines of credit to preserve sports activities and the viability of the agents that make them possible. Of this amount, more than 40 million euros have already been processed for city councils, sports councils, federations, clubs and athletes.
