The Catalan Finance Institute has financed over the last three years 49 companies and entities in Terres de l'Ebre for the total amount of 30.6 million euros. The public financial entity has shared this data as part of the fourth Meeting for sustainable economic growth, which took place in Amposta this Monday and brought together more than a hundred companies, entities and economic agents. The day was held after the presentation of the budgets of the Generalitat de Catalunya for 2023, an event headed by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Natàlia Mas Guix.
The CEO of the ICF, Vanessa Servera, has presented the activity data of the entity in Terres de l'Ebre between 2020 and 2022. "In the last three years, we have financed 49 companies and entities for 30 .6 million euros, allocating a large part of the resources to the agri-food and tourism sectors" emphasized the CEO. "We want to continue increasing our presence in the area, which is why we have added a new sales representative to the team who will provide service exclusively in Terres de l'Ebre, expanding coverage in order to offer greater proximity to companies". Servera pointed out.
In her speech, the credit investment general director of the entity, Anna Álvarez, assured that "at the ICF we do not compete with the financing of the private sector, but we have the vocation to complement the offer and put availability of medium and long-term loans to companies and entities, while offering personalized advice that responds to the specific needs of each project".
The business cases of Nomen, Camping Alfacs and Gràfiques Salaet
As part of the day, the president of Nomen Foods and the Cooperativa Arrossaires del Delta de l'Ebre, Jordi Casanova, the CEO of Gràfiques Salaet, Elena Salaet, and the manager of Camping Alfacs, Mario Gianni, accompanied by the director of business development of the ICF, Antoni Vallès, have participated in a round table on the future of SMEs in Catalonia.
Casanova, Salaet and Gianni agreed to highlight the added value of working with the ICF when undertaking major projects. For his part, Vallès affirmed that "from the ICF we lead the anti-cyclical role of the banking sector, offering solutions adapted to the different problems faced by companies in their day-to-day life with the aim of continuing to promote the growth of the Catalan business fabric".
