ICF Agroliquiditat loans are extended with a further €37.5 million to strengthen support for the primary sector

The ICF Agroliquiditat loan line has been extended with an additional 37.5 million euros, a new increase after it was extended last April with 35 million euros.

From today, self-employed people and companies in the agricultural, agri-food, forestry and fishing sectors that have been affected by the increase in prices, drought or the rest of the consequences of climate change can now apply for financing again through the website of the public promotion bank. This line is also available to self-employed people and companies in the aforementioned sectors that want to carry out a small investment.

Since the opening of the line, the ICF has financed 1,822 beneficiaries with a total of 135 million euros through the ICF Agroliquiditat loans, an amount that added to the current expansion brings the endowment of this line to 172.5 million euros.

The loans will be at a fixed interest rate of 4%, but in all cases there will be a 50% bonus from the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, so that the final interest rate will be fixed at 2%. The repayment period will be from 3 to 6 years, with up to 2 years of grace included.

In addition, each approved operation will be for a minimum amount of 10,000 euros and a maximum of 100,000 euros. As in the last extension, applicants who have formalised a loan under this line will be able to apply for more financing up to a total of 150,000 euros. In other words, if they already had a loan of 100,000 euros, they will be able to apply for a maximum of 50,000 euros more.
