The industrial boiler and pressure vessel manufacturing company has signed an ICF Eurocrèdit loan with the public development bank to boost its productive growth in the coming years. ICF Eurocrèdit loans offer advantageous conditions for Catalan SMEs thanks to co-financing from the European Union.
The Institut Català de Finances (ICF) has financed the new plant of the industrial boiler group ATTSU in Riudellots de la Selva with an €8 million loan. The company, specialised in the design, manufacture and commercialisation of steam boilers, thermal oil boilers, autoclaves and other pressure vessels, is starting construction this March on an industrial facility equipped with all the necessary production installations to become its new manufacturing plant.
The project, with a total investment of €14 million, will enable the ATTSU group to expand its production facilities and significantly reduce manufacturing time and costs in order to meet the growing global demand for industrial boiler products, particularly in sectors such as energy, food, the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, while continuing its international expansion.
“With this financing operation, we are supporting a key industry in the region and backing a project that also contributes to advancing sustainability and the decarbonisation of the economy, as well as regional growth. This is, and must be, the mission of a public development bank,” highlighted the CEO of the ICF, Vanessa Servera.
Francesc Johé, spokesperson for the ATTSU Group, stated that “this financing from the ICF, both in terms of conditions and maturity, will allow us to manufacture high-efficiency electrified equipment with zero CO₂ emissions at the new plant, and will help us enter much more strongly and rapidly into the industrial decarbonisation and energy transition market, which requires a swift response due to the volatility of fossil fuels in a context of global instability.”
The ATTSU Group will consolidate in a single plant the companies Aillaments Tecnivap and ATTSU KLAUS, specialised in industrial insulation and autoclaves, which are currently located in other manufacturing facilities.
Likewise, the company will have more space to expand its R&D&I department and will be able to continue developing and improving new products such as high-voltage electrode electric steam boilers and equipment to generate high-efficiency steam using heat pumps.
The new production centre will also enable the company to improve the integration of sustainability in its manufacturing processes and in the use of lighter and more resistant materials, thereby optimising product durability and functionality and reducing the carbon footprint of its production process.
The public development bank financing is provided through an ICF Eurocrèdit loan, which offers advantageous conditions for Catalan SMEs seeking to boost investment, enter new markets and develop innovative projects thanks to co-financing from the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
