The activity data was made known during the Meeting for Sustainable Economic Growth that took place in Mataró and was opened by the mayor of the city, David Bote Paz. The day brought together more than thirty entities and economic agents from the territory.

ICF has financed, during the last three and a half years, 130 companies and entities in the Maresme for a total amount of 80.8 million euros. In the same period, 2,506 customers were financed in Barcelona with a value of 1,321 million euros. The public financial entity has shared this data as part of the Meeting for Sustainable Economic Growth that took place this Thursday at the Ateneu Cultural Center and brought together more than thirty companies, entities and economic agents.
The mayor of Mataró, David Bote Paz, welcomed the meeting and highlighted the council's willingness to work in a coordinated manner with the ICF to strengthen the business fabric of the city and region.
The opening session of the meeting was chaired by the CEO of the ICF Vanessa Servera who presented the activity data of the entity in the Maresme between 2020 and 2023 and highlighted "the need to continue promoting the economic and business fabric of the Maresme, a territory with a very powerful industrial entrepreneurial community that has been reinventing itself over the years".
"Today, this transformation - said Servera - goes through the green transformation and the reduction of the carbon footprint, not only to protect the environment but also because the market is asking employers to take this path towards sustainability". The CEO of the ICF added that the public bank for promotion "will be by your side throughout the economic cycle, with financing for long-term strategic projects and we will also be useful to you in times of difficulty".
Finally, Servera highlighted that, in addition to financing companies, the ICF also has an important presence in third sector entities.
The 80.8 million euros that the ICF has earmarked to finance Maresme companies and entities between 2020 and 2023 are distributed as follows: trade, tourism and transport sectors (45%), education, culture and sports (19%), the agri-food industry and primary sector (11%), and the manufacturing industries (11%), construction and public works (5%) and others (9%).

The round table with companies that have received funding from the ICF served to share their experiences of growth and innovation at the hands of the public promotional bank. Imma Pardos, from Coc & Delicatessen, Jaume Barbosa, from Conservas Dani and Jordi Castells from Happy Punt have held a conversation with Gaspar Sáez, commercial representative of Maresme and Vallès Oriental, where issues such as sustainability, international expansion, and +D and the close and relevant accompaniment of the ICF at key moments of the companies.
