The Executive Council has approved a Decree Law partly amending and updating the Consolidated Text of the Law governing the Catalan Institute of Finance (Institut Català de Finances), which was approved by Legislative Decree 4/2002, of 24 December. The amendments formally makes ICF subject to European regulations on financial institutions and enhances its independence vis-à-vis the Catalonia Regional Government, as required by European regulators.

imagin begins the marketing of mortgages linked to the 'Prestécs Emancipació' of the Government of Catalonia to make it easier for young people to acquire their first home. Barcelona Activa, ICF and Avalis join forces to grant €25,000 loans to self-employed workers and microenterprises
The new programme, B-CRÈDITS, has a total budget of €4 million, which will make it possible to grant loans of €25,000 at a fixed interest rate of 3%. Barcelona Activa will also launch a call for grants aimed at covering part of the cost arising from the guarantee required to access the loan. Self-employed workers and SMEs currently account for 94.6% of Barcelona’s business fabric.
